Once a year Falcon Crest Golf Course hosts a fundraiser benefiting Make-A-Wish Idaho. On September 30th, six individuals will tee off first thing in the morning and complete a marathon of 100 holes playing one hole and one ball at a time.

The six individuals include Sam Jacobson from Boise, who in 2012 received a Wish and had the opportunity to meet Alex Ovechkin. Sam, now 18, was featured on ESPN’s “My Wish.” It is through Make-A-Wish Idaho that 80 Wishes were granted last year.

With the number of wishes expected to reach 90 this year and an average costs of $6,000 per wish, it is fundraisers like this that make it possible to grant children their wishes. The wishes fall into 4 categories…I wish to be, I wish to go, I wish to meet, & I wish to have.  There are so many things that fall into those categories.  They have lots of wishes to go to Disney, some shopping sprees, wishes to meet athletes and actors, room makeovers, playhouses built, etc…

If you are interested in supporting the 100 hole challenge you can donate at  http://www.pgagolfday.com/sections/rocky-mountain/2014/players/rick-o%27neill/.
